Fountain Point Resort Wedding

Filmmaker Nancy Meyers inspired the aesthetic for E&K’s Fountain Point Resort wedding weekend on Lake Leelanau. The couple had guests coming in from all over, so a venue where everyone could stay on site gave them the gift of sharing Northern Michigan with friends and family in a much more personal way. Guests were able to rent boats, relax on the beach, and have bonfires in the evenings leading up to the wedding day; as well as explore nearby areas like Sleeping Bear Dunes or Fishtown in nearby Leland. E & K hosted a relaxed al fresco welcome party on the lawn at Fountain Point the night before the wedding. On the day itself, they embraced the Northern Michigan lake life with a champagne boat cruise after their ceremony. Guests dined under a sailcloth tent with the breeze coming off Lake Leelanau and green and white lush florals decorating the tables and entry space. I’ve always loved weddings at Fountain Point, and I think one of the most unique things about it is how you can host a very formal and elevated event, or lean into the camp vibes and keep things low key and casual. For the couple who wants their wedding to feel like a big Northern Michigan lake vacation with all of their favorite people, Fountain Point is one of the best and most charming venues you’ll find.
