CUSTOM DESIGNED
Heirloom Wedding Albums
Holding your images in your hands is a special, increasingly rare gift. It’s the way the images were always meant to be experienced; sitting on the couch together flipping through thick pages of rich imagery that transport you back to a moment in a way a photo on a screen can’t replicate.
Creating the images on your wedding day is only part of the story. When the memories of the day start to blur with time and scrolling through hundreds of images on a phone screen feels too detached, a tangible, custom designed heirloom wedding album that can be passed through generations is a beautiful way to feel connected to a day that meant so much.

THE DESIGN PROCESS
Step One:
Once purchased, a link to an order form will be included in your receipt. You will indicate if you would like to self-select the images for your album or have me select them. If self-selecting you will create a favorites list in your gallery and select the number of images that correspond with the album you purchased, or just select your must haves and have me choose the rest.
Step Two:
I will begin the design once you’ve submitted the form and selected your images or indicate that you’d like me to select them. While I’m working on the layout, you can think through how you might like your cover designed. I collect inspiration to give us some ideas to make the cover unique. You can look through those here.
Step Three:
Once the first draft of the design is complete I’ll send you a proof and you can make edits. You might want to move images around, add images to certain spreads, request a change in the design of a spread, eliminate a spread completely, etc. Once you’ve requested the edits, it takes up to three business days on my end to make these changes.
Step Four:
Once the changes have been made I’ll send you the second proof, including your cover design. At this point, you can approve the final design or request additional edits. It will take up to three business days for me to make the requested changes.
Step Five :
When the second round of edits is complete I’ll send you a final proof for your approval. Once I get your final approval, I’ll send your album off to production!
FAQ
-
In short, the size and the ability to customize. The Heirloom Album is substantially bigger and more closely resembles a coffee table book. It is also comes with the option for leather and linen and velvet covers while the the book is limited to book cloth. The Hardcover Book more closely resembles a novel in size. The album feels more luxurious and has some heft to it, the book is petite and unassuming while maintaining the same high quality materials and attention to detail.

Short answer: quality! Long answer: Albums and books at this level of quality can generally only be ordered through a professional photographer. They are made to last and printed to the highest standards with gorgeous, archival grade materials. Another answer is; convenience. I’ve talked to so many clients and friends who still haven’t created an album years after their wedding though they have always intended to. Take all of the guesswork out of it and have a beautiful book in your hands with very little effort on your part.

I love this part. Debossing means making an impression on the cover to create a custom title or design. The imprint can be “blind” which means it is simply an imprint, or it can be filled with a colored foil. There are many options to choose from for a foil filled deboss such as gold, silver, copper, rose gold, navy, cranberry and many more including some fun metallics and a couple of matte colors. The design of the deboss can feature your names and/or your wedding date. But it could also be a simple graphic -perhaps an illustration or logo you used for your wedding, a family crest, a lyric from a favorite song, a line from your favorite poem, etc. The cover can be designed however you’d like, you can send over inspiration, rely on my relatively simple design skills, or even design it yourself!

No! Families and other portrait clients will also find immense value in archiving their images in this way.

Yes! I start at specific spread count, but you can add spreads (a spread is two pages) as desired.
