Camp Blodgett Wedding

Anne-Marie and Zeke envisioned their day feeling natural and laid back. Their Camp Blodgett wedding was an opportunity to have a big, fun party out on the lakeshore where they could put their feet in the sand, watch the sun set, and dance under the stars. Camp Blodgett is one of the only venues in West Michigan that is located right on the beach and has direct access to the lake. The event space, called the Loeks Retreat Center, is tucked away from the camp and has a stunning, unobstructed view of Lake Michigan from both inside and outside. The bright indoor reception space is full of windowed doors that open up onto a massive deck overlooking the dunes and the lake. The deck is big enough for a wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, or to dance the night away. As a person who is forever inspired by Lake Michigan, I jump at any opportunity to photograph a wedding on the lakeshore and spend a day on the beach.
